Overview

Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge opened its doors in 1986, being the fourth Sarova establishment (first was Ambassadeur). The lodge gets its name from the hill directly behind it that was a lion's abode.

Before Sarova Hotels acquired the lodge it was a tented camp. Sarova ran it for a year then restructured the accommodation in to chalets.

Lion Hill is a beautiful retreat set in Lake Nakuru National Park - home to thousands of pink flamingoes and pelicans. This exotic park boasts of a rich concentration of wildlife including black and white colobus monkeys and is also a Rhino sanctuary. Look for temperamental black rhinos browsing in the bushes, and larger white rhinos cropping grass along the lakeside. No where else will you get a photo of a rhino with a back drop of pink flamingos sifting food from a shimmering lake.

Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge has 64 chalets and 3 suites all overlooking the lake. It is a perfect place to experience one of the world's largest ornithological spectacles in the heart of the Great Rift Valley.
