Overview

My husband and I had the honor of being the first couple married at Asanja and we are delighted our travel agent suggested this camp. We were warmly greeted at the airstrip. Upon reaching the camp, we were welcomed by the rest of the staff who came to know over the next few days. We had the opportunity to have the owner of the camp and all of the managers at our wedding, everyone was personable and kind.

The camp: The camp is REMOTE but manages to still provide luxury. We had a beautiful tent, plenty of hot water (it is a bucket shower), and hot water bottles for our turn down service at night. The food is GREAT, large portions and something new to try each day.We had tasty lunch boxes when we went on safari and hot meals each night at camp

Safari: we were able to see all big 5 animals in the 3 days we were at camp. Our trip to the crater was arranged through Asanja and was also fun. We chose the open sided vehicle which made it all seem more adventurous, the driver (Eric) was awesome.

Our Safari wedding: The staff made a beautiful backdrop complete with a rose arbor and lanterns as a surprise on our wedding day. They had an official come in for the evening so we could make it legal in our home country. Hair, makeup, and photography services were provided. The Maasai tribe members participated in our ceremony. Our reception was full of cake and dancing with our new friends-the staff of the resort.

I could not imagine a more perfect place to have a Tanzanian safari. The service is personalized and the details planned out.
