The Uganda press is fairly robust and there is freedom of press as described in the constitution. The main newspapers are the Monitor and The New Vision. Most of the newspapers are in the English language. There are also other newspapers but these are target market specific like finance and real-estate. There are also magazines. You can also get the latest international magazines like time, ebony, Cosmo etc from most news vendors.
There are a few free to air televisions stations, 1 cable service which services the Ugandan market. Most hotels offer the DSTV cable service which feature international news services like CNN, BBC and Aljazeera
There are many radio stations in Uganda. We have both secular and religious programming. If you listen to radio based on the music they play we have it all here from reggae, rock, pop, r&b, rap etc all you need to do is to let your host know what you like and they will advice what radio station to turn to. If you are interested in international stations like BBC, French, Chinese we have it all here too.
